Strobe Light Aircraft - This is a tutorial on how to make a scale model airplane more attractive in just a few simple steps. Not only is it cheap, but it works well, the strobes flash at a very high intensity, so it looks like an original aircraft strobe (can be seen from a long distance)
This diagram can be used on a paper model airplane or on a plastic model such as a Revell model airplane

. I will show how to make the circuit, install it in the plane with the proper way to control the lights.
Aircraft/strobe Led Light For Helmet (multicolour)
This circuit uses common electronic components like LEDs, IC 555, diodes, resistors and capacitors etc. If you're a hobbyist, you probably already have all of these stored around your home, and they all cost no more than a dollar or two. .
Sometimes scale models are made with a beautiful finish, it looks almost real, but if you install lights on the model that reproduce the original model, it will look even more attractive.
Whether its Revell plastic model or the paper airplane model on websites like canon c park or paper-replika.com, if made with patience and care, each model looks extraordinary. And the installation with flashing LED lights adds interest to the model.
Your whole circuit depends on this "Number and Position of LEDs" You have to solder the circuit however you decide.

Primarily for aircraft, this scheme is used for flashing white lights (on the wing tip and trailing edge of the fuselage) as well as flashing red beacons (on the upper and lower fuselage). One IC 555 is used for each light signal, the circuit below uses one 555 for the white light signals and another for the red beacon. All other LEDs are connected in series with a current limiting resistor between ground and the positive terminal of the battery, and these remaining LEDs are continuous lights that do not blink.
When I created the BOEING 737-900 DELTA AIRLINES with LED lights, I used the positions shown above after studying photos and videos of the original aircraft.
As with 1:60 scale, the 5mm cowling was too large for the model as it was close to the size of the fuselage windows. So I used 3mm cables. It is best to use SMD (surface mount) LEDs on the light strips that run on 12v. I tried looking for a local shop but they didn't have any so I used 3mm.
Be careful when doing this on a paper pattern, because if the weight is not concentrated in the center, the pattern will be unbalanced and unstable. As with the 737 paper model, I put the heavy (battery) in the center, the less heavy board closer to the battery, and the other side away from the battery. (See pictures in one and actual sketch)

If you are making a plastic model (like Revell) or other hard materials like cardboard etc you don't need to worry about the center of gravity because if the weight is unbalanced the plastic won't bend while the paper model will. gives a strange shape.
This circuit isn't just for airplanes, you can make it on locomotives, model ships, or anywhere else you need a fast flashing light.
After fixing the mounting location of the switch (you can extend the dip switch soldered to various small perfboards with 5 strip wires soldered to it.
After completing the model build, the switch directly soldered to the PCB may not be accessible. And instead of operating the switch as needed, you'll have to climb to the switch's preset position.
Automatic Shades And Wing Strobe Lights
I cut a small punchboard with 5 ribbon wires (don't get confused with the position switch in the picture, I used a 6 position switch because the store didn't have 5 positions). I connected this key as follows −
Connection between terminals 3-8 Navigation lights (red wire on the left end of the wing and green - red wire on the right)
The most important task of this project is to use the PCB connectors for perfect soldering without loosening and to connect the wire without removing it from the PCB. one strand of the conducting wire goes linearly through all the wires, then twist slightly with pliers and solder two points if necessary because the circuit until you save the plane :). (See the picture of the WIRING DIP switch in step 4)
Before installing in the aircraft, test on a breadboard before soldering to avoid common mistakes.
W Led Strobe For Rc Aircraft
I have posted the schematic in pictures and a pdf file for a clearer view in the link below. Many people on YouTube asked me for a better wiring diagram than the previous one, so to avoid confusion, I increased the thickness of the wire that crosses the other wires in the diagram, so that it is easy to trace the wire even for beginners. it's easier to understand.
There is also a circuit with a single IC 555 for non-aircraft manufacturers or for use as a single LED light (use your creativity)
This circuit leads to 5 wires coming out of the board (if you did it with a DIP switch off the board) Negative, 2 outputs on 2 ICs for both ICs, 2 +ve terminals. For a method with a built-in DIP switch, 2 wires appear (the corresponding output).
After testing the PCB, start connecting the entire network of wires to their respective locations. Write down all the wire colors with their respective locations in a safe place for later reference, otherwise you may get confused when connecting the wires.

Since this is a paper model, I have to make the parts first and then attach the electronics, but if you are making a plastic model, before building the model, tie all the wires together with plastic tape to give it a structured bundle look and save a lot. room for other innovative ideas.
For the cockpit and interior lighting, solid white lights in the power supply in parallel with front mounted LEDs with a series of 1k resistors, 700 ohm resistors for more LEDs.
The cockpit lighting and interior lights are only possible on the plastic model because the thick plastic doesn't let light through, and on the paper model it looks like an airplane skeleton.
Attach any other caps or remaining pieces to complete the model. For a plastic model, paint and decals also provide a good finish. Leave a comment for any lighting scheme requests on airplanes or elsewhere (cars, architecture).

Watch the video of Mine Delta Airlines Boeing 737-900 with LED light, scale model 737-900 made by me from paper-replika.com website, if you like my creations, don't forget to subscribe here - Youtube page Modern airplane is equipped with a complete outdoor lighting system that includes flashing lights and continuous lights.
Flashing lights are designed to attract attention, while constant lights are mainly used for illumination.
Let's take a look at this Boeing 787 leaving the runway after a night landing:
These lights are mounted on the horizontal stabilizers and illuminate the tail of the aircraft and the operator's emblem, or in this case the abbreviation. They report that there is a plane in the dark.
Aircraft Led Strobe Light (1pc)
A prominent, bright vertical stabilizer emblazoned with the airline's logo signals the presence of an aircraft nearby.
The taxi lights located at the front illuminate the forward taxiway, making it visible to pilots.
Then we have the landing lights and the runway departure lights, both located near the base of the Dreamliner's wing:
Landing lights are high beams that emit light over long distances, making long stretches of the runway visible to pilots.

Unlike landing lights, which shine straight ahead, runway clearance lights illuminate the runway diagonally across the runway. is designed to illuminate runway exits, allowing pilots to see in the dark while steering the aircraft to an exit.
(Note that on some other aircraft models, such as the Airbus A350, the runway departure lights are located on the nose instead of the wing.)
Now the plane is much more visible on the ground. However, it can still be difficult to identify the aircraft's wings and fuselage from a distance.
This is why we need flashing lights. These lights are called "anti-collision lights" and the visible flashing of the lights is easily noticed by the eye from a distance.
Airplane Lights Too Dim (strobes, Nav, Landing, Etc.)
These powerful, bright lights are the brightest lights on the plane. They are located at both ends of the wings and blink at a certain time
